Science and Engineering graduate (Masters and PhD) students of the universities across Victoria, Australia are invited to submit a two (2) pages proposal within 31 August 2009 detailing their research projects. The proposal should clearly outline:
- The specific problem and application scenario including the project requirements
- The overall solution architecture highlighting underlying concepts and technologies
- The expected outcome and impact of the project as well as specific deliverables
- A screen-shot of demonstration (software/hardware prototype, Web portal, conceptual diagram or the like)
The main criteria for selecting a proposal are: novelty, innovation, research scope, wide applicability, and demonstrability. Up to ten (10) project proposals will be selected for demonstration during the expo. If space permits, additional 5-10 projects will be presented in the form of posters. Top three (3) demonstrations and best poster in the event will be awarded with attractive prizes. Proposals should be submitted via email: research.expo2009@gmail.com
