IEEE Science and Engineering Graduate Research Expo is dedicated to capturing the imaginations of graduate students (Masters and PhD) of universities and broader communities; from the industry and academia throughout Victoria, Australia. This event has multi- and inter-disciplinary focus, it is free of charge and is organized by graduate students of the University of Melbourne. It is expected that this event will attract 150-200 attendees (both IEEE members and non-members).
The Expo will start with the keynote talk of IEEE Fellow Prof. Rod Tucker at 10:00AM (with registration from 9:30AM). The rest of the day will feature an interactive knowledge transfer process among diverse graduate student communities through research demonstrations, poster presentations, panel discussions, and job opportunity seminars covering science and engineering research areas. This event will also feature separate booths for participating industries to provide career advices throughout the day. We will conclude with a relaxed and casual Expo drinks party and raffle draw in the evening at 5:00PM. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. This IEEE event has received technical support and title-sponsorship from IEEE Melbourne University Student Branch. This event is generously sponsored by Melbourne School of Graduate Research (MSGR), NICTA, and Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
