The 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Sensors, Sensor Networks and Information Processing (ISSNIP 2005) and IEEE International Conference on e-Science and Grid Computing (e-Science 2005) will be held jointly in Melbourne, Australia during 5-8th December, 2005. The joint event will be held in the five-star Langham Hotel on Southbank, Melbourne and is expected to attract more than 400 researchers from all over the world. The ISSNIP conference (www.issnip.org) will host tutorials and technical sessions focusing on both theory and applications of intelligent sensors and smart systems. In addition to the usual technical sessions, there will be special sessions and workshops concentrating on specific areas of sensor research. The conference is running under the umbrella of ARC Research Network on Sensor Networks and is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Sensor Council. The e-Science 2005 (www.gridbus.org/escience/) conference, sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee for Scalable Computing (TCSC) and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, is designed to bring together leading international and interdisciplinary research communities, developers, and users of e-Science applications and enabling ICT technologies.
